Best Brunch Restaurants In Baton Rouge
Way better than breakfast and slightly worse than lunch, Brunch is a word we’ve made so we don’t feel bad about getting our day started at 11:00 am. And I’m here for it. I’m a big-time breakfast food guy but I don't like eating in the morning. Brunch is the miracle I didn’t know I needed. From chicken & waffles to bottomless mimosas *clink*, here are the best brunch spots in Baton Rouge.

Ruby Slipper
Ruby Slipper is an awesome brunch spot in Baton Rouge. And let me tell you why. When you eat the food, you’ll go “Wow, this is an awesome brunch spot!” Their menu caters to a wide variety of preferences. Whether you're looking for something sweet, something light, or something to induce a food coma, they have you covered. The diner-like atmosphere is definitely a plus for me as well. They can get quite a wait at peak hours but their website allows you to join the waiting list early!

Mason's Grill
Mason’s Grill is arguably the king of Baton Rouge brunch. Their food is incredible and consistent and their brunch cocktails are solid too. Their most notable brunch offering is their Bloody Mary. There are tons of toppings to choose from. Honestly some of them have no business in a drink, but hey, they let you do what you want and I respect that. When I talk to people that haven’t been to Mason’s for brunch I tell them to RUN not walk.

Elsie’s Plate & Pie
It’s good. It’s real good. It’ll make you wonder why we can't eat brunch for every meal of the day. Their brunch menu is relatively small, but don’t let that fool you. EVERYTHING on the menu is worth eating. Their omelets do not miss. I’m a sucker for the chicken & biscuits and I don’t think my wife will ever be as happy as when she eats their breakfast burger. If you’re looking for a Baton Rouge Brunch spot. Give Elsie’s a try.
