Best Upscale Dining In Baton Rouge
There are plenty of good places to eat in Baton Rouge, but this list is for those looking to find incredible food, in an elevated environment. I’m quite the foodie, I’ve eaten at nearly every restaurant in Baton Rouge, and while there are some flashier options, or maybe even more popular dining options, these are without a doubt the best upscale restaurants you can find in Baton Rouge. Perfect for date night, or if you’re looking for a restaurant to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or just life!

Beausoleil Coastal Cuisine
The name points you in the right direction, but it doesn’t paint a full picture. Coastal Cuisine is only half the story of this Baton Rouge masterpiece, a reimagined take on some of Louisiana’s seafood staples may be a better way to position it. Taking an upscale approach to dishes that are often staples across Louisiana’s menus are what put Beausoleil in a league of its own. I look forward to every single time I get to eat here!

The Little Village
Did someone say bread? Little Village has hands down the best bread that man has ever created. But it doesn’t stop there, with incredible pasta, amazing steaks, and an awesome wine list, Little Village is always a solid choice for a date night or any occasion worth celebrating. With two locations in Baton Rouge, you’re probably pretty close to one! Sidenote: This was actually the first restaurant my wife and I ate at as a married couple and the amount of garlic my wife consumed almost ruined our honeymoon.

French Market Bistro
Located on Highland Road near the interstate, this has become one of the go-to’s for my family anytime we are celebrating a graduation, birthday or just want to get together as a group! Their oysters are great. And their cream of brie soup is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Their steaks are incredible but the pasta is always an incredible choice as well. A Baton Rouge staple for elevated cuisine. If you haven’t been there, make it happen next date night!
